I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Plug Power
Interview
I was referred to Plug Power and quickly had an interview with the team. The interview was via video and consisted of 3 employees and myself. It was structured to be very intimidating to a candidate and they constantly interrupted each other. Primarily behavioral questions and hopped around a bunch. They informed me that they wanted me to have another interview which they scheduled. I followed up after the last interview and 3 months later they have never gotten back to me.
Extremely poor candidate experience and talent acquisition process for a growing company who is looking to attract top talent. Glad I didn’t get the job.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Plug Power (Latham, NY) in Oct 2021
Interview
This company was having a hard time recruiting because they were mistreating their technical staff and got a bad rep for it. Now, they're growing really quickly but they haven't yet fixed their culture. I had a recruiter who did such a bad job communicating via email and phone that I don't want to work there anymore. On the phone, the recruiter was cold and short, all while she aggressively and loudly clicked on her keyboard. On email, she was non-informative and then non-responsive.

Interview
First Interview: Got an e-mail to attend a one-way interview... where you record answers and submit them. Was not a fan.
Second Interview: Had 3 separate zoom interviews with two hiring managers in each. They all expressed high interest in me joining the team, if not for the position I applied for then their team.
I'm a stronger interviewer, was more than experienced, and got disrespectfully ghosted.
