I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Ascension (Wichita, KS) in Feb 2022
Interview
The overall process was smooth and straightforward. There were about three interview steps in total, each one clear and well-structured. The only challenging part was the waiting period in between, as it took a little while for them to get back to me after each stage. Eventually, they reached out and officially let me know that I had been offered the job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked what was my current role and if I had experience in certain areas of the job description.
This interview was vague. They asked questions that had nothing to do with the role like, "What does success mean to you?" When I tried to get more information about the role to show interest and to prep for other interviews, they deflected. I was not selected for a second interview although I have more experience and knowledge than the job description required. I found it odd that the recruiter blocked me when I was nothing but kind and polite. I won't be applying again. Also, I found it off-putting that the director said that the project management team doesn't like to listen and then proceeded to ask me how to handle project managers who won't listen.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you define success?
Describe a time you did well at work versus a time you didn't do well.
I’m convinced this company either doesn’t hire minorities or people with agency recruitment experience. They list the job requirements and I’ve exceeded what they are looking for yet no interview or prescreen? Don’t waste your time with them.
