I have never felt so appreciated and fulfilled at work before!
Pros
When I started out at FinanceFox we were a really small team and I was doing a lot of things I felt I "wasn't really qualified for". Now, approx. 6 months later I have more responsibility than I ever thought I would have and I realized that I have never worked somewhere where I felt more appreciated. Even though I had nothing to do with insurances or technology before, I feel fulfilled at work and I feel like I can really make a difference here and have a positive impact on the world. It's also a great team here at FF. I am friends with many of my employees and enjoy hanging out with them even in my free time. We are transitioning to a progressive organisational structure (practicing Holacracy), which means that we have no "bosses" or traditional managers, so I feel like we are more "equal" than at other companies. An added plus is that we have offices in different cool cities (Berlin, Barcelona, Zurich), which we sometimes visit for trainings or just to meet the colleagues :)
Cons
Typical for any startup, the working hours are sometimes quite long, although I've definitely seen worse. This has a slight drawback for "work-life-balance" although if you are having fun in what you're doing and you are "working with your friends" in such a good atmosphere it doesn't feel too bad.
