Pros

Great people to work with, fun to be around colleagues from so many countries. Good but very tough learning experience, Some fun times. If you survive successfuly here, you'll thrive anywhere else.

Cons

Not a con precisely but it's mindboggling how what could be a truly great working environment is trumped by their corporation's greed. It's all about making a billion dollars by 2020, that's the only thing that matters, it's probably the company's philosophy. The only philosophy. So everything is rushed, everyone is pushed to their limits in order to make that goal. When there is enough money to hire more people and enough time to extend deadlines, instead they push harder and harder. It's exhausting.

Pros

There are absolutely no pros to working at TransPerfect. This was the worst place I have ever worked in.

Cons

Overworked, artificial budgets to work with, unpleasant & un happy staff, high pressure, terrible pay, hours are the longest I have ever worked (20 hours plus in one day), high stress. Treated like slaves. Top bosses earn millions, staff earn peanuts. Like to hire young recruits who have little work experience (or none) and think the ridiculous objectives are normal.

Pros

Great people, team-atmosphere, learned to be independent and responsible for myself, formed global relationships, free happy hours monthly!

Cons

No work-life balance, awful pay, even when you are not at work you stress about everything that you did that day and everything you have to do the next day. You are not considered a "human" at the company, only a computer operator. Perfection is demanded at all times, managers have been known to yell at people publicly for not meeting very high expectations. You meet amazing people, and become friends, and then they quit.
