Pros
- young & vibrant environment - strong consumer brand - your CV gains lots of tractions among recruiters - business outlook is positive
Cons
- Decision making is highly centralised. As a result, regional teams aren't enabled and empowered to take decisions on their own. China (HQ) needs to see, challenge and approve EVERYTHING. Trust is very hard to build with Chinese colleagues. - HR leadership is smart but unexperienced - The HR pillars underpinning compensation policies are weak and outdated, e.g. vague job architecture - You will be challenged by every angle of the company and it will be hard not to lose your patience and credibility in front of your stakeholders - Absence of a regional CHRO. HQ HR leadership doesn't have the skills to improve the situation and doesn't want to hire consultants to help - No use of emails. People expect that you answer on chat right away.
