Pros

- High compensation & incentives for high-performers - Good employee perks & benefits (free lunch!) - Lots of cash/budget within the business to do things quickly and to a high standard - In certain areas there is an unusually high degree of autonomy (sometimes a good thing, sometimes a terrible thing)

Cons

- Major cross-cultural challenges - 'Good' performance based on being a 'yes' person and just executing work even if the quality & reasoning is poor - Capped career progression for non-Chinese/non-Mandarin speakers - Widespread discrimination & poor/unfair working practices/policies - Significant working time zone spread & lack of focused headquarters (is it LA, Seattle, Singapore, Shanghai!?) which leads to long-working hours - Bureaucratic processes & process owners - No investments in people development and actually helping employees to build required skills. If you can't already do something (or at least pretend to be able to), you're out.

Pros

The salary is above average for the current market rate.

Cons

1 star - Not what I signed up for This company fosters a negative culture that doesn't support employees. The workload is overwhelming, communication is terrible, and there's pushback against anyone who dares to speak up, even with solutions. The job description was completely misleading, and layoffs were handled poorly. Management is out of control, creating unnecessary work. Overall, a very negative experience.
