Pros

-Work-life balance -FDP over pays its members for the roles they have available -Low expectations -> probably only have to be productive 60% of the day to go above and beyond expectations -Job security -> nearly a recession proof industry

Cons

-FDP program is mediocre. They assign you to roles beneath your performance ability level. You will become bored... fast. -Expensive and poor employee health care “benefits”, which is ironic given Cigna’s a health insurance company -stock based comp is unfortunate given the underperformance of Cordani and leadership relative to peers the past 5 years -Executive leadership is hypocritical -> they will cut your raise as they prepare for bumpy fiscal years, but will give themselves hefty raises. They’ll through in something to “make up for it” as their way of saying they value their employees

Pros

The location at Bloomfield office nice

Cons

they hire you and then get insecure with you and then start making grounds to get rid of you. the old staff at cigna is a road blocker they are a group and if any new talented employees join cigna the old staff starts working to get rid of him. Even if you are super talented they make you feel as if you are a dumb person and must leave. Old employees take leverage and get against you and make sure that you are out of cigna in few months , they leverage their relationships with the boses and speak bad about you. There are hundreds of such people and teams in cigna. I wonder if the executive management which includes CEO or CIO etc have visibility whats happening in their company since years ??

Pros

Salary and Remote Work Capability

Cons

Very male dominated and biased, especially in the Cigna Medicare and Government Services IT departments in Nashville. For as much as Cigna corporate pushes their "diversity" spectrum; women, especially Black women, are paid significantly less than their white and other POC counterparts. If you're ever a victim of an ethics violation and file it with HR, they will retaliate against you by 6 months later offering you a "buy-out" package and letting you go for "business reasons" while still hiring other people to do your job. Because of your separation paperwork, you're not even allowed to pursue legal actions. Cigna Government Business services Management and HR are only concerned with the bottom line and not the advancement of their black female resources, no matter how many accolades or achievements you've gained while employed with them.
