Pros

There was a great work/life balance before return to work. I believed in the ELT and what they stood for before this massive misstep

Cons

Forcing employees to return to work and threatening that they “aren’t going to, but can track badge swipes” David Cordani only cares about one thing and that’s the bottom line. You force employees back into the office for no reason other than to justify money being spent on rent for buildings and try to spin it as needing to collaborate to reach our goals with no data proving we aren’t doing so already from home. All the while the employees have been working harder than ever creating annual revenue growth of around 4% year over year working virtually and more recently we’ve won the business of one of our largest clients with Centene. For that, here’s you’re reward for all the hard work, return to the office and give us your most valuable asset back…your time. Now I get to miss out on all the things that have had a huge positive impact on my life and mental health with the extra time I’ve been given not having to commute to and from an office but hey at least this way we’re not wasting money on these buildings that aren’t being used. I’ve lost complete faith in the ELT with such a tone deaf move and I will be looking to leave Cigna asap. Drive for 2025 - retain and develop talent sure looks nice on paper but actions like this make it a complete joke. I really hope the ELT re-evaluates this strategy or I’m afraid like myself, many employees will be looking to move to a company that care about them on a personal level and they aren’t just a number filling a seat. For prospective employees this company can and has been a great place to work but I’ve noticed the ELT in place today has lost sight of the things that matter and are out of touch with the workforce. I’ve given everything I have for this company on a daily basis to deliver results and always taken a ton of pride in trying to deliver for leadership and the members that we serve and it honestly feels like being stabbed in the back.

Pros

Cigna is a financially sound insurance company. Loved that I had the ability to work from home with my department. Some mgrs were flexible when I needed to take time off for MD appts/children appts.

Cons

Leadership are so disconnected from the front line employees and make decisions without the knowledge, skills, or experience to do so. The only reason any of us stayed so long is because of the time off/PTOs and work from home was hard to match. It's very hard to get promoted with this company. Lots of micro-managment in the corporation. Could barely get up from the desk to use the restroom or stretch because we were timed for our cases and every min. of that day is important to complete our medical reviews. This had caused a lot of stress for me and many others. Upper Management set unrealistic goals in the medical managment dept that I worked for.

Pros

Pay was somewhat competitive with potential for bonuses.

Cons

Waste of my talent and time. If I could give management zero stars I would. Nepotism, inefficient, lack of direction, and training is a joke. Absolutely no training, rude, unresponsive - you are expected to "figure it out". Training directors do not do their job and are intimidated by new associates who are talented and eager to succeed. Hostile work environment, harassment, intimidation, bullying tactics reminiscent of grade school playground.
