Pros

There was a great work/life balance before return to work. I believed in the ELT and what they stood for before this massive misstep

Cons

Forcing employees to return to work and threatening that they “aren’t going to, but can track badge swipes” David Cordani only cares about one thing and that’s the bottom line. You force employees back into the office for no reason other than to justify money being spent on rent for buildings and try to spin it as needing to collaborate to reach our goals with no data proving we aren’t doing so already from home. All the while the employees have been working harder than ever creating annual revenue growth of around 4% year over year working virtually and more recently we’ve won the business of one of our largest clients with Centene. For that, here’s you’re reward for all the hard work, return to the office and give us your most valuable asset back…your time. Now I get to miss out on all the things that have had a huge positive impact on my life and mental health with the extra time I’ve been given not having to commute to and from an office but hey at least this way we’re not wasting money on these buildings that aren’t being used. I’ve lost complete faith in the ELT with such a tone deaf move and I will be looking to leave Cigna asap. Drive for 2025 - retain and develop talent sure looks nice on paper but actions like this make it a complete joke. I really hope the ELT re-evaluates this strategy or I’m afraid like myself, many employees will be looking to move to a company that care about them on a personal level and they aren’t just a number filling a seat. For prospective employees this company can and has been a great place to work but I’ve noticed the ELT in place today has lost sight of the things that matter and are out of touch with the workforce. I’ve given everything I have for this company on a daily basis to deliver results and always taken a ton of pride in trying to deliver for leadership and the members that we serve and it honestly feels like being stabbed in the back.

Pros

The Cigna Group overall is a fantastic company to work for! They invest in their employees and do a great job ensuring everyone, in all departments/locations/teams feel as if they matter with the multitude of perks they offer to employees. Many team members were knowledgeable, hardworking, and genuinely committed to supporting the healthcare industry.

Cons

While employed at Cigna healthcare, I experienced a work environment that often lacked consistent communication, balanced workload distribution, and transparent leadership practices. High-performing employees were frequently expected to absorb additional responsibilities without corresponding support, while shifting expectations and excessive micromanagement created unnecessary stress and instability. Over time, this impacted morale, trust within teams, and overall employee well-being.
