Small airport offers more flexibility and ability to respond to a unique situation outside a rigid rule book scope and more opportunities to advance.

Cons

Management: felt largely absent, uninspiring, personally involved and at times created sexually charged (in a negative way) environment, complained to employees about other employees, did not promote merit-based advancement or work at all to diminish detrimental cliques within the organization.

Cronyism galore, major fraud, backstabbing. They favor folks with just high school or GED as managers over more educated folks with advanced degrees.

Good honest hard work. Lessons that remind one that earning a buck is better that being Joe Smoe. I do feel like I am doing what I can to fight the war on terrorism.

Cons

Job security uncertain. With whole realignment that occurred about a couple of years ago, my position was changed to another title, then HQ decided that for my area, we did not need 3 people in that position, and I got drop.
