Pros

The main reason why I worked here for I felt like I was contributing to the fight against terrorism, the pay was decent and it's a good look working for the federal government. If your just looking for good pay with no college degree this is great for you!

Cons

It's too bad that the opportunities to get promoted are limited to connections, and a lot of your superiors don't even have college degrees but talk down on you and get paid very high salaries while someone with a master's can be in stuck in an entry level position because they didn't kiss up to the right person or someone higher up doesn't like them for whatever reason.

Pros

Good pay, good benefits. You MAY find and keep a friend or two. You MIGHT even meet ONE or TWO good supervisors/managers. Great experience gained. You'll meet a lot of different people & stars.

Cons

Terrible management at ORD airport, too much favoritism, too much like high school, promotions based on who you know & who's on your panel for the interview, terrible work-life balance, they don't care how sick you are, if you can breathe "GET TO WORK"! Government shuts down, no pay "GET TO WORK"! I can probably count on one hand how many people deserve to be in a supervisory or management capacity! It's bad!!! Run away!!! I would too if I hadn't gotten so complacent & numb to all the garbage & politics. When you can finally get a door open for a promotion, you find yourself in a whole new load of garbage.

Pros

Benefits even if part-time. Transfer ability due to aligned job requirements.

Cons

Inflexible schedules. Uncaring management. Fear of job loss due to constant retraining and certification. Cronyism. Far to management heavy. Too many bosses. Too many managers not doing anything wasting tax-payer dollars.
