Pros

Telus is a forward thinking company, innovating wherever it can. It has a great brand image, strives to be sustainable and tries to keep to its core values.

Cons

Its current management and structure changes make this a company to avoid right now. Purchasing and combining several companies over the last few years, its bid was to destroy it's competition and replace the market with new Telus software. This has left the company with a complicated chain of command, unclear objectives and frequent redundancies (without notice). While the company will get back on its feet, it is probably a company you will want to avoid if you are currently looking for stable employment. While its shiny presentations and well thought out words from management are nice, they often fail to follow through on promises. Leaving both customers and employees in the dark.

Pros

It's great for career advancement, I started off in the stores and moved over to the office and made my way up over the years Nice hardworking colleagues. Decent pension plan. Flexibility and freedom to work anywhere. $5k in annual benefits that can be used towards mental health services and a flex benefits option for student loans. Good bonuses and employee discounts

Cons

Lots of talk of how great the company is but people are always leaving. A lot of inexperienced leaders with poor people skills, disorganized, disconnected and all over the place. Ladder jumping and some very obvious nepotism. Cheap company, no company events and annual salary increases arent that competitive Lacks a solid work culture. High burnout rate

Pros

Only pro is you work from home

Cons

- 0 support director is completely useless/ purposeless as well as all of the leadership -Director will hire his friends to be managers even though they moved up unethically (stealing money from company and punishing the reps instead due to their lack of accountability) - lower your yearly earnings every year and load up your workload by 2 to 3 times (at least) -toxic /fake colleagues due to workers being scared of losing they’re jobs (constantly threatened) -colleagues will have their comission lowered as well as pay and due to the toxic nature of reps sucking up they will talk about how great it is that we are receiving lower pay (fear tactic) -constantly wondering why you’re not getting payed proper commissions and constantly clawback of comission due to lack of support and fulfilment -as reps you are constantly told the wrong information to relay to the customer as managers and directors have 0 knowledge and then the rep and customer will take the hit - VP and directors constantly forcing you to work excessive hours for free
