      TELUS: A great place to get your feet wet, but you're not going to make a million dollars.

      Pros

      There is a great team atmosphere at TELUS. The leadership team is fantastic. They foster an environment of business ownership and pride in your work. There are endless opportunities for growth and advancement. The benefits are decent and the share matching program is among the best in the industry.

      Cons

      Unfortunately the compensation is below average for the industry. It is a fantastic place for an entry level worker coming in off the street to gain experience in a corporate setting, but unless you have the acumen to climb a corporate ladder at the director level or higher, the money is just not there. And even if you do have that acumen, it is not exactly a fast track. It is a long road to get to a lucrative position.

      Pros

      the benefits are better than any where else, the culture and my co-workers, the nature of the business is fresh and exciting and the growth opportunities are great. the communication is great and the internal website is a great place for informaiton. my well being is cared about and the benefits are there for a healthier lifestyle. Telus obviously cares about a healthy workforce.

      Cons

      a little person in a humongous corporation, sometimes there is a feeling of being inconsequential, the budgetary constraints on non sales units is harsh and seems unfair, even to those that help make the moola. the internal processes take entirely to long and the politicalness of the officeout east is very uncomfortable. if you are member out west you get more opportunities for other thing than out east.

      Pros

      TELUS is a progressive company that provides opportunity for those willing to work hard and learn the industry. This is not a place to work if you have trouble getting to work on time, don't return phone calls/e-mail, or have issues with following a complex process. TELUS also provides continuous educational opportunities and if you are not a "learner" TELUS isn't for you. The benefits are outstanding (3 weeks holiday to start!) but the pay is only average. On the downside, the office politics and rumor mill run on overdrive at TELUS and the office drama can be overwhelming at times. In all, if you love technology, work well with others, have above average intelligence, and want to grow with a company that is also growing TELUS is for you.

      Cons

      The job processes are some of the most complex you will encounter anywhere.
