Pros

Teammates are great, colleagues care, healthcare team and administrative support staff know their stuff and work hard. It's a place you want to come to work

Cons

Director at the 333 Bay St office demonstrates an immense lack of leadership, and people skills that has become (unfortunately) more and more apparent since the leave of the old nursing manager in early 2021. Anyone can "manage", but it takes way more than that to lead a team, especially one paving the way for progressive healthcare. As an employee we get that management cannot control everything we may want (like increased opportunities for growth, or salary raises, or opportunities for flexible scheduling). There is no room in any organization for unprofessionalism, passive aggressiveness, lack of support and inconsistency especially when it comes with gaslighting and word games. I'm not surprised to many people have continued to leave the organization (we had 4 resign in a single day in April). Unfortunate because Telus itself has a pretty good name.

Pros

You get paid. Remote work.

Cons

Unfair pay They'd rather pay an agency double your salary, than make you a full time (unless you're white)team member. Performative activism. Re-Hiring POC when they need to appear diverse. Disrespectful to POC whom are seemingly hired and let go to make diversity quotas You will notice a high turnaround because of Management (whom will never change because mgmt could never be the issue to them)

Pros

Great interprofessional team Benefits and Pension Generally safe and stable work compared to most healthcare fields

Cons

Worst management, cut throat but not in a good or constructive way. Turnover of staff is every 2-3 years usually related to stress and unable to find growth. Underpaid staff for the load of work and expectations given
