Pros

your team mates are good people.

Cons

Management are too busy to help, Its all numbers and targets. Its cut throat. Upper management hate each other. VP's are the worst people. Directors are spineless SMB in Telus is a mess, constantly hiring and firing. Managers are decent but under too much pressure and can't train or coach their team members. They "restructured" the whole channel and it's a disaster now. The people who DID help are now gone, targets are too high, the upper management lie constantly and look like they all hate each other. Everyone is out for themselves and the "CULTURE" is non-existent. DO NOT WORK IN THIS CHANNEL.

Far from great

Pros

Not any I can think of

Cons

Was let go due to "restructure" but then opened the same role immediately after. Was quite transparent with my management I was in the middle of leaving an extremely abusive relationship. Received my offboading letter the day after I filed an EPO against my ex-spouse. Yet, they reward an Ontario team with a "Give Where We Live" award for helping their coworker get out of a similar situation I was in. Favoritism is high. The opportunities to move up are far and few in-between. They had employees for 7-10 years in the same role and let them go once the company falls short on profits. Also found out later they assumed I was abusing mileage. However I was not, they finally gave me approval to see my remote accounts in person (after years of phone calls and email communication only) I wanted to visit all of these locations within 2-3 weeks so I can figure out opportunities and plan future visits and how frequent they would be. Not to abuse mileage. Looking back, I couldn't be happier that I don't work for them anymore.

Extremely corrupt, avoid at all costs

Pros

Can work at any time

Cons

Avoid being a Telus rater at all costs. To be an employee you have to agree to give them all of your personal data- they have access to all of your email messages, internet search history, and more. If I wasn't desperate for cash I never would have agreed to this. The pay is terrible - $14/hr. You can't get in touch with anyone ever- multiple emails go unanswered for months at a time. They don't care about you at all and don't explain the purpose of this job- it's like being in Black Mirror or Severance. Absolutely terrible experience and only for the truly desperate. To add insult to injury, I just received an immediate termination notice with no reason for firing- my scores were good and I met all the requirements of my contract. Of course, there has been no response to my emails requesting a reason so I can file for unemployment. Absolutely despicable.
