Pros

Good benefits And insurance, equipment is good

Cons

As someone who worked as an Account Specialist SMB Growth at TELUS, I can say that my experience was overwhelmingly negative. The management was incredibly micro-managing and toxic, which made the work environment feel like I was working in an international call center. One of the worst things about this job was the mandatory office attendance policy. If I couldn't hit my quota, I was forced to come into the office, which felt more like a punishment than a helpful solution. Upper management was constantly reminding us that we were replaceable and that someone overseas would do our job for a fraction of the cost. This made me feel undervalued and underappreciated, and it was extremely demotivating. In my opinion, this sales role is the most toxic work environment I have ever been in. If you want your mental health to take a beating, then this job is for you. However, if you value your well-being, I would not recommend it. While I can't speak for other parts of the company, my experience as an Account Specialist SMB Growth was extremely negative. There’s a reason why there’s such high turn over in this role.

Pros

-Flexible work environment -Decent work-life balance (work is boring af though) -Good benefits

Cons

-Short-sighted and incompetent leadership that abdicates blame for failures -Archaic operating model and processes makes what should be simple things take months to complete -Boring and slow pace 90% of the time, but then randomly you will get busy because a VP needs something and isn't willing to do the work themselves -Everyone outside of VPs has minimal influence and just has to do whatever VPs ask -Leadership is completely disingenuous -Compensation is below competitors

Pros

The only thing I can think of is Coworkers and good office chairs.

Cons

Where to begin. Terrible management. No freedom of speech. No work life balance. Increased workload and pressure to perform o the point of exhaustion. Managers not interested in your ideas to emprove company for employees or for customers. If you speak up about an issue they will target you and intentionally cause your dismissal. They say they care about you and your ideas but all that matters is keeping share holders happy and making profit. Company is getting rid of good higher paid employees and replacing with inexperienced lower paid ones. Hiring overseas. Everything is fake and sugar coated. Managers are puppets and lose integrity and humanity once they reach this position.
