Not what it used to be

Business Outlook

Pros

Flexible hours, remote work, pension/stock matching program

Cons

Frequent re-orgs, unclear roles and responsibilities, micromanaging leadership provided by people who don't have subject expertise (e.g., dictating digital tactics with no understanding of the systems that support those tactics). No clear career progression for staff working on digital initiatives. Values are stated but not observed (e.g., "We value data over opinions" and then completely ignoring the data).

A changing company

Business Outlook

Pros

Great rate of pay, pension, employee share plans

Cons

The direction of the company is very shareholder dividend driven, causing shrinking Canadian employment and moving toward an out of Canada workforce and a strong focus on self serve/AI/digital solutions as oppose to direct customer contact
