Big company, a lot of different opportunities. You can get promotions if you work hard. Good work environment. They try to maintain work life balance. Overall in the process of becoming more agile. My department had a lot of teams trying to improve collaboration between each other

Salary is either average or on the lower side

Pros

The company is open to self-driven innovation, although you will likely be doing it on your own time and against opposition until you have numbers to back it up.

Cons

There's a lot of silo-ing which makes it difficult to grow or work with other people. In addition, the developer culture is lacking. TELUS is trying to fix that but doesn't have much idea how to, which is not great to work in but allows for a lot of room to make change.
