Great Company-Not so great company policies

Pros

-Respectable Insurance company with years of history -Great people working at the organization -Managers are friendly and respectful

Cons

Zero work/life balance. People are forced to choose whether to have a life or to work at this company with the fact that its 5 days a week in person. Almost no room for flexibility in this post pandemic world. While Starr isnt the only company returning back to office, it is the one of the only ones that are back full time opposed to 2-3-4 days a week like most companies despite employees practically begging to be heard by senior management

Pros

You get baseline income and health insurance??? But you can also get that anywhere else.

Cons

Where does one begin? This place is so backwards you can't even begin to unravel it all. Everyone who leaves is labeled with not being "Starr material" (as if that is something to aspire to be?) but pretty soon there will be no one left and will they still be saying that? I don't know how these senior "leaders" have made it this far in their life because every employee you speak to is frustrated/unhappy. The senior people running the show are delusional and incompetent. Their running entirely on their egos which is driving this entire place into the ground. The whole mentality here of "our culture is working hard and giving you a lot of work to see if you can prove yourself" aka late hours and grinding without help is not culture. That is called labor exploitation. There is no culture here - just commiserating.
