Pros

Good pay, good tips, good barista comradeship, build relationships with customers, make friends, free coffee, health benefits and stock

Cons

It's catty, the girls can be mean at first if you're a girl yourself. You have to assert your way into the "in" group. Lots of gossip. Boss will never notice if you do a good job, only what you do wrong. Mornings are awful crack of dawn hours and you have to be awake for the "rush". Very corporate standards for drinks and cleanliness which sounds like a good thing but can be ridiculous. Not all your shifts are deserving of their jobs. Some customers are very needy and very rude like all food service jobs you have to grin and bear it.
