Pros

I worked as an engineering manager at Engines tribe. I met really senior software engineers building amazing software for a super complex problem. We tried to build correct solutions without fall on over-engineering solutions. Company values are great to help teams focused on delivery.

Cons

On the other side, the company has a problem with middle management (between c-level and squads), breaking the autonomy of squads, no clear scope for senior managers, promotions are a mess and often performance reviews are used to blame people instead of providing space to personal growth.

Pros

Still can making money through its current business model, via it is big traffic from Flight.

Cons

1. Lacks the motivation and guts to identify its second growth engine. 2. But it creates the impression that they are actively doing something. 3. A husband-and-wife duo runs the only two tribes in one specific location. Employees have complained about being bullied by one but cannot request a rotation, as the other tribe is ruled by the spouse.
