Often feels like the blind leading the blind. The company often promotes people with no experience, in to seats where they shouldn’t be sitting, instead of hiring genuinely qualified people for said roles.
Some of the sales strategies of late, have no backing from the sales teams they effect and there’s a genuine distrust between sales management and quota carrying reps. We’re also yet to see any drastic changes from these changes and teams are still well underperforming. A call centre style approach to sales, is not the right method here.
The people who have made these decisions are so out of touch with what it means to sell here and are focussed too heavily on sales staff attrition rates and how to lessen these, rather than sales staff training. If you invest in your sales org and teach them to sell, rather than throwing a list in front of them and asking them to call everyone, you’ll see longevity out of them.
HR team are so out of touch with what they should be doing. HR should support everyone, not just the management teams.
