Pros

Very little, it is a good place if you are fresh off the college otherwise I wouldn't spend my time here. The only pros are: the multicultural environment, central location and "Four Thirsty" (at Friday you finish your working day at 4:30, get free drinks, relax and socialize with other colleagues).

Cons

1) Only some departments are allowed to join the Four Thirsty (not Service Desk) and honestly I feel sad drinking and having fun while watching other people still working till 6:00 PM on Friday. 2) The company has 10 years experience but they say they are a startup just because their Galway office is new while some people in there have been working for the same company for years. They use this to justify many things. 3) They say they are open to suggestions to improve themselves (because they are a startup...) but when you actually start talking they don't really listen to your point of view and this is so disappointing, they could just shut up at first instead of asking you, they should know they are not dealing with children. I have seen many people being very passionate about their role at the beginning and then losing their enthusiasm for this. 4) They promise a lot but don't deliver, it's just their strategy and this is the reason why many people after 6 months have left the company, after realizing their promises will never become true. It's just another call centre, they just want to look smarter than others. It is a very good place for a person with no job experience, not for somebody with experience who has been carefully selected and recruited.

Our environment in Galway is a professional call centre and it is important that new starters to the company understand that they will be supporting our customers online and on the phone. Unfortunately, this does mean that some members of staff may be required to remain on the phone to support our clients and ensure great service whilst others can enjoy Friday drinks. Generally these duties are rotated where possible to ensure a fair balance between staff. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your time with us more and hope your new choice of role proves better suited to you.

Pros

Great Culture very helpful leadership team who honestly want feedback and care about their employees.

Cons

Pay is far to low for industry standard here in Ireland will probably end up losing many of their more talented ambitious employees due to this.

Thanks so much for taking the time to give us your feedback and I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying working with us. I appreciate your feedback on salary, as you know we are new to the Ireland market and we did an extensive benchmarking exercise to identify a competitive market position before we launched. We will undertake a review of the market again to confirm if we need to move the dial. As standard practise, we review the market data annually to ensure that we pay within the market rates.

Pros

The company culture is nice. People is easy-going and willing to help. Mid management is well prepared and constantly interested in feedback. Location is great (city center) and the drinks on Fridays are a very good touch. The job never gets boring and I'm always learning new things. They were very helpful with relocation, bank stuff, etc. They are very flexible with paid holidays and you have bank holidays off. Apple equipment and a very strong team-work sense. Good communication with London offices and between departments. Overall I'm happy to work here but there is still room for improvement.

Cons

Salary and benefits are below average for the tech industry. This is a BIG handicap nowadays and a key point in employer branding. Two months in the role already and we have not being informed yet about the company benefits (just mentioned health insurance and pension but no idea in which degree). Not much room for promotion but time will say. They should hire more facilities personnel so services are well taken care off (many times there is no milk or coffee so need to be walking between kitchens looking for them). However the office is quite new so I expect things will get better after some time.

I'm glad you are enjoying the culture, hopefully by now you have connected with Marianne or Sharon about benefits, they should be able to help you confirm the details. We have heard the feedback on salary, we undertake some pretty thorough salary benchmarking before we launched but perhaps the market has moved or we may not have hit the mark. We are reviewing the Galway service delivery salaries to confirm if we need to move the dial. As standard practise, we review the market data annually to ensure that we pay within the market rates.
