Pros

- Intelligent colleagues - Multicultural/International environment - Salary is pretty good

Cons

- Consistent issues with the facilities: AC is always on (Winter/Summer); elevators occasionally have issues (people have been stuck and the elevator has dropped with people inside); differential pricing in the canteen depending on which company you work for. - Onboarding process is inefficient. Takes around 3-4 weeks to onboard people. Laptops do not come ready, you have to install and set it up yourself. - Politics are high. Peoples intentions are not always clear. It seems that everyone there is trying to cover themselves and there is no real team spirit. Make sure your work is visible and manager is basically bcced in everything. Don't accept work that is not part of your own KPIs. Be very politically correct in emails as most people share them implicitly. You MUST play "the game". - Organizational changes are not communicated clearly. There's the infamous "____ has left the company to pursue other opportunities" announcements of leaving colleagues, code for they have been fired/laid off. - Long hours. In Q4, a team member was missing for 2 months, was working from 8:30-19.00 easily to make ends meet. This will be unnoticed unless you make it clear to your manager and the reason why everything is still floating is because you are putting overtime hours. - There is a tendency to focus on the negative than highlighting the achievements. Remember to save/record all of your good work, you need to prove your good performance. Be very careful with "feedback", agreeing to feedback can have negative outcomes, better to say "thank you for the feedback, I will take into consideration" and leave it at that. - Unless you have a permanent contract, be sure to be looking for another job at least 3-4 months before your contract ends. - Performance seems to be based on your relationship with your manager (personality) rather than actual targets being met or over-performance.
