Pros

Change management is championed. Great Quality Systems processes. Great health care benefit package. Opportunities for international assignments with the mother company; Novartis.

Cons

Sandoz leadership is like Nero fiddling whilst Rome burns. Exceptionally high turnover rate with no true drive to root cause by site leadership. Employees are even opting to resign even though they do not have a job waiting for them on the other side of the door.

Pros

Excellent compensation and quality of their products.

Cons

Upper management doesn't know how to run generics as they come from branded business. Upper management set unrealistic expectations and they don't have the courage to accept their mistakes. Instead, they blame the people below for the poor performance that is the result of not listening in the first place.

Pros

Please note that Fougera (formerly Nycomed) is now part of Sandoz. There are some managers who are very professional and helpful. The salaries and benefits are great, as they are part of Sandoz/Novartis.

Cons

Having worked for several companies, I consider Fougera one of the worst. It has a very bad working environment, with negative attitudes, a lack of accountability, lots of complaining, and very rude and unprofessional personnel. Some employees are very lazy – including one who sleeps and snores in their cubicle for 80% of the day, and another who does not take the extra step to return trash cans to their original locations when they empty the trash (these little things make a difference). There is a lot of animosity between line staff and management. Sandoz, the governing company, is trying to implement new policies and procedures that would steer Fougera in the right direction, but there is a large amount of resistance.
