      Good pay, but bad day-to-day and lack of trust

      Pros

      Pay and benefits, which are important factors. But they should also be benchmarked against other factors such as the quality of your daily job, which has decreased dramatically since the enterprise shifted toward an “operationally efficient approach”: cut budget, cut people, increase micromanagement, and make sure that all the efficiency goes into the pocket of shareholders. Moreover, give people no way to promote by not opening new headcount, add new criteria as stoppers, and when headcount does open, make sure it’s 90% politics 10% meritocracy to get the position.

      Cons

      Since last year the company has frozen promotions, cut budgets, and laid off people on the base of financial difficulties while declaring record profit in its history. Some people are paying much more than others those changes, promotions are almost entirely political. Stress has also increased and trust plummeted according to the annual Salesforce survey.
