Pros

London office pleasant in good location. Fun colleagues. Stimulating environment amongst staff and genuine passion for work.

Cons

Many challenges as the company grows. - * Lack of customer focus so selling products in new wrappers rather than solving problems. * Serious administrative issues mean too many hours spent being seen answering copious emails or attending meetings rather than innovating. * In many areas, really weak inward looking senior management. Excellent managing up skills, poor business savvy. Questionable senior team members in post way past sell-by & questionable promotions. Many staff are baffled at senior management post decisions. * More recently a palpable disregard for those doing the job despite rhetoric about staff value.

Pros

The only benefit to working here is the benefits. They are unmatched.

Cons

Lots of cons, but the biggest is the micro-management and distrust of employees even after working here for several years and being very successful in the position. You are micro-managed to the point that you are afraid to make a decision without going to a supervisor. You are also expected to create detailed notes in the CRM about sales calls, which should not be a problem, but depending on your manager, those notes may or may not be detailed enough. If he/she decides your note was more of a service call than a sales call, you will be reprimanded for making a "customer service" call instead of a "sales" call. You are required to make a certain number of sales calls a day, so you don't want that call to be designated a "customer service" call instead of an actual sales call. This will be referenced during your performance appraisals which affect any raise you may get, which is only a small percent annually, if you do get one. Another con is the pay and bonus structure. They can change the bonus plan if they see a rep is doing too well in their territory and decide to change the goal or payout. One last con I will mention, work-life balance is not a thing here. It is touted as a thing, but believe me, it is not.

Pros

Benefits are good, workloads are manageable, people are (mostly) nice and easy to work with.

Cons

Pay, Progression, Veneer of Shiny Happy People, but below the surface everyone is displeased. I have never worked somewhere that I can simultaneously feel utterly dispensable, but also totally indispensable. There are yearly rounds of redundancy that affect people of all levels, job descriptions and responsibilities change without consultation - due to "business need". But don't you dare take a week or two holiday, because work that you've handed over and trusted would get done (as there are time sensitivities) will just be waiting for you when you get back - at the same exact state of play. There is a serious lack of onboarding and what passes for a handover is utterly laughable. In a meeting recently we were showcased how a select few have moved around within Marketing to progress. Because that's the only way you can progress - happenstance and staying with the company long enough that you get bored and try your hand at something new. You don't get the opportunity to hone anything or become an expert at anything, because you're constantly bogged down with meetings and emails. There are way too many cooks in the kitchen on every single thing, with no one feeling like they can or should action things. So nothing actually gets done. We're dragging and forcing things over the finish line sometimes. Most of all - I'm just utterly bored most of the time. The job isn't challenging and doesn't require any thought. I am actively seeking to leave as there's no room for progression (even when seeking lateral internal moves) as there's an obvious hiring slow-down. The company must be performing worse than they want us to believe.
