Where mediocrity is severely in demand.
Pros
Excellent work life balance. Minimal expectations. Really easy going culture. The antithesis of micromanagement. Very good pay.
Cons
Absolutely 0 chance of professional development and progression. People have been around for years (some, literally decades) *in the same jobs*. Organisational leaders that have been around longer than 10-15 years tend to be there because they’ve been there, not because they’re good enough to lead an organisation of this size. Appalling knowledge of DEI from those outside of the DEI structure. The pay benefits is less employee retention, and more employee entrapment. Middle management are very aware they have a good gig, so they get away with doing incredibly little. I would genuinely reconsider working here if you identify as disabled, neurodivergent or POC.
