The culture at SAGE is so cliquey and passive aggressive as to be corrosive. If you run afoul of the gossip-mongers and tone police, it can be a very uncomfortable place to work. A lot of lip service is paid to giving everyone a voice and a stake, but ultimately, traditions and protocol are what really count.

Micromanagers galore. Not hired to think, only follow chaotic or punitive direction---if you get that target on your back, watch out. Want specifics? Meeting w your customers behind your back- Usurping your relationships? Underhanded threats? Feigned care? Do this or else. People fearing for their jobs? Anxiety high not knowing what to expect. Management coming in groups of 3-5 to meet with your one customer... No management accountability. No processes to make jobs easier, that would make too much sense. Management does what management wants. Women who pander get promoted, and ironically- the Patriarchal hierarchy is alive and well!
