Pros

Nice office space, good coffee and colleagues

Cons

Where to start! There is an absolute culture of bullying within the organisation with no support. It's quite normal to see people crying in the halls and bathrooms. There is a constant change in leadership and direction every couple of weeks. Sage have lost a VP, 2 x Sales Directors, a Customer Success Director and 2 x customer success managers in one department in the space of 18 months. Management style is to ignore success and concentrate on failures no matter how small. The company values and culture look great on paper but are completely ignored throughout the organisation

Thanks for taking time to write your review. Its true there have been some management changes and we feel now the team is set up for success. Management has been restructured within the team to allow for better communication, with internal promotions of Team leaders. We are delighted to promote from within Sage and give our talented individuals the opportunities to progress their careers. We celebrate success every day and our proud of our progress! As we listen to our people's concerns, we felt a colleague forum was needed in Dublin, so we created The Kaizen team. This has been operating for a couple of months now and are open with feedback. We will share your feedback with them as they endeavour to voice concerns. We truly believe we have some very talented people that are working closely together with management to make Sage a great place to work. Thanks again.

Pros

Overall, nice people to work with, relaxed dress code.

Cons

Too many to list. Management rolls out programs for professional growth, and in less than one year no one seems to remember anything being in place. No matter the personal growth, unless there is a "business need," there will be no promotion. Company holds on to people w/poor performance/attendance for the sake of a warm body since replacements are few and far between.

Thanks for your review. Sage is a lovely place to work with great people. We are aiming to be a high-performance organisation where colleagues are rewarded for the contribution they make and if poor performance exists we work with individuals to improve. We promote colleagues internally and at present 26% of all roles are filled by internal colleagues, in some geographies this is as high as 45%, we are aiming at increasing the global average. To equip leaders with the tools and the skills, this year we will launch a new leadership development programme for 2,000 Sage leaders. Our ambition is to ensure that every day our leaders encourage, support and stretch colleagues to develop their full potential here. It will help them to quickly identify and address low levels of performance and recognize those that go ‘above and beyond’ delivering great service to our customers, partners and accountants. Thanks for your review.

Thank you for sharing your experiences so far while working at Sage. Having an outward focus is tremendously important for Sage to win in the market, and it’s an advantage for us that colleagues like you value that and see the necessity of it. We encourage you to share your views with colleagues, your manager, your shared services teams and anyone you work with so that your ideas can help bring about the change that we need at Sage. We hope you will be part of that change but if for any reason you don’t feel empowered to speak up, we would encourage you to take a look at the Code of Conduct which is found on the Sage Academy (it refers to Safecall – it’s free and confidential) or contact your People business partner. Above all, Sage needs to value the visions of change like yours and we will do all we can to make room for them.
