Pros

Good benefits, JMBA, on-site fitness center, day care program, company mantra for the safety of the environment and community.

Cons

Upper management including executives not following SCJ values. Executives hiding information and mis-informing CEO. The wrong power to the wrong people - go babysit for your manager so you can get put on the fast track! Nepotism.

Pros

Highly skilled staff, all employees up to managerial positions are very enthusiastic and fun. There is a lot to learn from the employees. Lots of facilities and benefits.

Cons

Location. There is almost nothing you can do in Racine. Its a family company trying to hard to adapt the corporate structure and it does not seem to be working. Teams keep changing, projects keep going on and off, people keep getting moved to other projects or positions randomly. There is a lot of confusion in people about what exactly their responsibilities are which leads to the same work getting done by multiple people at multiple times. If you are new, you will spend a lot of your time just meeting and talking to a large number of people and figuring out what exactly each person does.

Thanks. We appreciate that you took the time to share your thoughts. It’s true that SCJ has gone through some organizational and process changes, and in some areas roles are still being ironed out. But we’re getting there! And we believe we’ll be stronger than ever. Your advice to focus on communication within teams and cross-functionally is right on. We’re grateful for the input.
