Pros

Better than average salaries in the U.S.. Flexible work schedules that offer excellent work/life balance. Family first attitude and support. Benefits package is on par within the U.S. Oil & Gas industry. The corporate culture is progressive, inclusive and positive.

Cons

Large, multifaceted company with layers of overlapping departments and systems. Corporate policies and methodologies are often overcomplicated and therefore, inefficient. The company lacks in proactive provision of health and ergonomics resources such as, gym memberships, ergonomic office options, etc. and the process to obtain such resources is unnecessarily difficult. Operationally, the company strives to enforce policies the same across all businesses and locations, leading to gross operational inefficiencies and labor shortages due to unnecessary administrative burden. The companies choice of software systems and configuration are often not user friendly or efficient, thus require unnecessary administrative burden. As a global company, cultural differences and language barriers can be challenging however, they make a strong effort to overcome the challenges. Although Repsol is a good company to work for overall, the common complaint is that the corporate entity consistently makes it difficult to do your job by providing subpar tools to execute overcomplicated processes. If you can tolerate the frustration of running a marathon with leg shackles on, the pay and benefits are well worth it.

Cons

Decision tends to lag. There are some discrepancies in leadership styles that can be worked on. Progression takes too long or other job opportunities you are at times looked over. The market value pay is lower due to Headquarters office being oversee.
