Pros

- clean office with onsite gym and shower. Crammed up desks so not much common space. - free breakfast and lunch. Don't like to complain about free food but don't expect what you get at other tech giants. Not many snacks either. - free Lyft credits (restricted to weekdays between 7pm and 5am)

Cons

- low salary for everyone. Stock prices seem to be headed only down - many low quality engineers for "budget" (ex: people with no prior experience) - upper management cares mainly about their own promotion - lots of middle managers. Most are incompetent and clueless at their jobs

The most stressful job I've ever had....

Pros

Nice, hard working staff - lots of social perks.

Cons

This is specifically for the Attribution arm of the business. Senior management doesn't have a clue. The heart and soul of the company (previously known as DC Storm) has been ripped out. Historically the business had prided itself on being an agnostic partner, but since being bought out by Rakuten, has devolved into a tack on product for the wider Rakuten Marketing services aimed at glorifying their own results rather than painting a truthful picture for clients. The dev teams are under constant pressure, with little support or ownership from above, except from the constant changes in strategic direction. The environment they operate in feels very organic and without proper safeguards. The account management teams fair no better as they have a constantly diminishing pool of resource. The largest, most profitable accounts have been severely under resourced, often leading to client issues and burnt out teams, with the blame usually aimed at the poor teams trying to stay afloat. Trying to navigate the chain of command is also pretty fruitless, as senior management don't take responsibility for their duties or past mistakes and typically have their heads buried in the sand. Political manoeuvring or shouting loudly seems to get more results in this regard. At best the senior management team could be described as out of depth, incompetent and directionless - at worst they are purposefully deceitful and negligent.

Pros

If you want to work in Japan but you don't speak fluent Japanese, this might be your one and only choice of career.

Cons

Swarming with incompetent managers, full of office politics, strategy based on 'feeling', I can go on for hours.
