Pros

Prudential offers great PTO and Benefits.

Cons

El Paso Prudential is not on the same level as Prudential (corporate). It's actually one of the worse places I've ever worked for. If El Paso Pru was anywhere near the same as the corporate offices, I'd have stayed but maybe it's an El Paso thing because Leadership doesn't seem to have any common sense and the majority of the employees are seeking employment elsewhere. Several years ago when I started, it seemed like it was a great company to work for but lately leadership seems more interested in showing-off for social media but has lost sight of their current employees. They claim there is so much room for growth but the fact is they are begging for work to come to El Paso. They also pride themselves with hiring ex-military and spouses but yet treat these employees from their WOS groups worse than 2nd class citizens, I'm surprised they all haven't left. Salaries are extremely low and their aren't any goals or clear expectations on how to grow or get a higher salary.

Pros

Tons of resources. Great people above anything else. Benefits are pretty good.

Cons

Feels like a pyramid scheme. Sell your family and friends, "transition" or "graduate" the training program, then good luck. Taking 55% of the commission is a bit much when new people are trying to get on their feet. Dont get all the same benefits as the corporate employees, which should tell you how the distribution and sales people are viewed.

Thank you for sharing your comments. The Financial Professional Associate role is a challenging one. We hope that you find Prudential, and it’s culture, to be a safe and open environment to voice your concerns to your local or territorial leadership teams. We encourage all of our associates to share their feedback and concerns in order to address them.
