Pros

Good company overall. I like the flexibility of being able to work from home. After a year of being at pru you are eligible to buy Pru stock at discount. I think this is a great benefit for all the employees.

Cons

Health plan is very expensive. Also the annual salary increase was a joke. Try to fairly treat the employees especially in the Actuarial community. We all take the same exams and work but we don’t get the same benefit. I think Pru can do better

Pros

Mid-range salary, some flexibility, excellent overall company and LCBE is well run. Great colleagues and general staff. Free parking onsite

Cons

Do as I say not as I do management style. The poorer communication I’ve ever seen. Directors are complaining that they don’t know what the VPs want. VPs fudge numbers to show progress and save themselves. No growth whatsoever. Sexism, ageism, racism and poor ethics plague this department and its leadership. Always cancelling staff meetings and berating people for long period of time in the meetings.
