Pros

Pay is usually in line or better. You can get exposed to many other projects. 401k is a good program. Educational opportunities are available. Managers are generally understanding if life events get in the way.

Cons

Middle and lower end management relies very heavily on upper management direction which can stifle creativity and major solution opportunities. The office politics create a CYA environment. Mobility is not impossible, but challenging. Health benefits are awful.
