Pros

You can watch a really bad reality tv show. Bring the popcorn.

Cons

Toxic climate and culture. Full of lies. If I could give this company zero stars I would. Run as fast as you can away from here. No accountability, no authenticity, and the management team is as fake as you can find. A lot of great talent has already left and now you're left with the bottom of the barrel. Reach out to previous employees to truly understand the company before accepting an offer.

We understand that OPSWAT is not a fit for every employee and we are sorry it did not work out. We strongly disagree with your characterization of your former colleagues. We are proud of both our current management and our very talented teams. We wish you the very best in your future employment.

Pros

Many good and hard-working people and cool mission.

Cons

My advice to anyone looking to join is to read all the reviews. You’ll find truth in the positive and the negative ones. I wish I would have put more weight on the negative ones before deciding to join. Fear culture is an understatement. Mistrust and CYA permeate within the culture. You can speak up as long as it is aligned with leadership. If you are a leader, be prepared to go backwards in your career, not by title but by the work you’ll be tasked with doing. No clear strategy other than to meet the revenue target. Priorities are not aligned across the organization and frequently change with no rhyme or reason and without giving enough time to be successful. Executives are not aligned often creating friction throughout the organization. The CEO puts his investment in fancy office buildings versus people. Recent mandate to return to office 5 days a week. If diversity and inclusion are important to you, this is not the place for you. I could write my entire review focused here but will just leave it at that. The top 2 HR leaders who were trying to make a positive impact both left the company.

Competitive Compensation - Poor Work/Life Balance

Pros

Compensation is good, health insurance is stellar. Mission of the organization is fulfilling.

Cons

Every single negative thing about this organization, of which there are many, can be laid at the feet of one person: the CEO. The CEO is a controlling micromanager and involves himself even with dictating daily activity of even entry-level employees. He has unreasonable demands and is oblivious to resource limitations. I have known more than 10 VPs and Senior Managers that were super talented that left due to the CEO's constant interference and lack of consistency.
