Pros

Have to write something to fill this space

Cons

I joined the company two weeks ago. The very first day of my employment, i learned that I made the wrong decision. I have been here two weeks and cant wait to find something new. I informed the company before I signed the offer letter that I have a trip coming up and if its ok with them. They assured me that its fine! I just learned that my time off will not be paid. I am a full time lead level employee! They have open space working environment, which is terrible if you wanna focus on your work. It's almost like you sit in the center of a fish market. The two buildings are over crowded and people sit in the meeting rooms to do their day to day jobs! I will not recommend this company if you are looking for a decent career.

Pros

1. Great facility 2. Potential for parallel growth opportunities

Cons

1. Over outsourced - Indian companies are chock-holding Metlife 2. Low quality work for cheap price - in-experienced and poor quality of work from some of the major Indian companies. Lower management ask for quality, however upper management has signed contract for cheap labor in India with no idea about the quality outcome. 3. Each department is like an island. No centralized IT process, other than help desk. 4. There no such thing as lunch. Meetings held over lunch with no lunch provided.

Pros

Apparently, Metlife is a great place to work, as long as you're not in the GTO in Cary. Coworkers are great.

Cons

Too many to name, but here are a few for starters: Bait and switch upon hire Management that does not support you Culture of blame Not enough communication about your job - you learn as you go to your detriment Management does not listen, although there is a great pretense at doing so with surveys that don't reflect real concerns FTEs all but disappeared. Great for contractors and visa holders, however If you're not strictly Tech, (marketing, analyst, PM) look somewhere else because you will not be valued
