      Pros

      Merge is full of incredibly smart, driven, supportive, and low-ego people. It is a fantastic place to work on difficult problems with incredibly sharp people, and as an engineer you will be given a lot of autonomy to work on and solve novel and category-defining problems. It's fair to say Merge is the premium product and market leader in the unified API space, and will almost certainly stay that way with the caliber of people that make up the company.

      Cons

      Work culture is fully in-office, which is not for everyone The hours are somewhat long for tech. The company is still being built (which people are excited and energized by), but it's not a place to rest and vest

      Pros

      -career growth and ability to have true individual impact on the business -very strong product market fit and clear path to massive, long term, enterprise customers. Product is very sticky. -my equity is going to be valuable!!! -People are passionate, growth mindset, smart, low ego, and dedicated to making Merge successful

      Cons

      -We are 5 days in office which is not for everyone. There is flexibility if you need to visit family, go to a wedding, go to the doctor, etc., but this can deter some people for sure.

      Pros

      Merge has been my most rewarding work experience to date due to the collective level of intelligence and drive amongst the people I've worked with. Our founders have done a really good job of continuing to hire people who are nice and also care a lot about the product + our customers - which is reflected in our continued upward trajectory. I've also witnessed lots of career mobility amongst my colleagues as we've grown into a larger org over time. Working at a startup requires lots of ownership from every individual and I've seen this more at Merge than anywhere else I've worked.

      Cons

      It's a super technical product with a steep learning curve which can take some getting used to. Not a con for me but being in-office 5 days a week isn't for everyone.
