Pros

Companion workers are great and supervision is understanding of familial obligations. Working conditions are clean and well maintained. Some areas have very thorough training. It can be a great place to gain skills in new areas without prior experience.

Cons

The benefits seem to be on steady decline. Ownership change has created an environment of polarized groups and reduced cohesiveness. Internal growth is limited seemingly based on strict internal guidelines.

Pros

-Location is great -Building is very nice.

Cons

- Training is too overloading, Mapfre expects you to know everything after the training is complete. -Hours are terrible -Was never informed that it was shift work which has a massive effect as most shifts you would be finishing at 10pm

Pros

Steady bi-weekly paycheck, good location, plenty of fresh water, decent paid time off, corporate experience, some employees are nice. If your goal is a paycheck and nothing else, this is the company for you.

Cons

First, Some of the positive reviews here are obviously written by and for the company (they all have the same voice and show up on the top of the search results). The management is very disorganized and at times are very rude. The company gives the appearance that the do not care about their employees. Their cost cutting measures are draconian, and believe me that will affect your salary (NO BONUS except a $50 gift card). Your job title may reflect less than what you actually do. They are even stingy on supplies (expect to get questioned if you use what they consider too many post-its or too muchtransparent tape - no seriously). Events are awkward. The work is unbearable and company expectations are unrealistic. Training is non-existent. There is rampant favoritism where you can't trust HR. Do not waste your career at this place.

Pros

they pay on time, usually you leave on time, they give you all the necessary clothing and equipment (tools, mobile phones, gloves etc.)

Cons

difficult job mainly due to the fact that you are all day long on the move, exposed to weather conditions, you do not get proper training

Pros

*Coming from a family-owned company prior to working at Mapfre I was nervous the grass wasn't greener on the other side but I came to Mapfre as a referral & I absolutely love working here! I don't miss my old job & got what I was missing at my old job here-& I only left due to moving.... *So much growth & opportunities to advance-I came to this company a little over a year ago & I've already been promoted-the management I've experience has been nothing but supportive & encouraging *The PTO is amazing, you don't get this at most company's or 11 paid holidays which includes floaters. *The training is exceptional-I felt I came out confident at the end of it. *I haven't come across any negative people, according to some of these negative reviews I'm surprised since I'm only experience positive vibes. *I could list many more pros, I'm very glad I chose this company when I had to leave my past job & plan on staying till I retire:)

Cons

There honestly isn't many cons I can provide-most people probably don't like the micromanaging of phones, aux times etc...but when you work at a contact center this is not a surprise? If I was a manager of a contact center you need to keeps things in control w/ several employees...

Pros

NONE. Glassdoor is requiring me to enter at least 5 words here.

Cons

Please save yourself and don't even interview here. I never understand the MASSIVE amount of security they have here at their office in the suburbs (more than any city skyscraper I've worked in) but now I do- because THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO WORK EVER. Quitting this job was the best day of my life. If you like blatant favoritism, racism, and an oppressive work environment, then this is the job for you. I was lied to during my interview, given no training, given performance reviews I wasn't told would happen and what the score sheet would look like, never given performance goals and looked down upon by my manager because I was an outside hire. I was told to forget my 8 years of knowledge. I was treated like I had been working at a fast food joint before. There are NO underwriting guidelines, and I was told it was ridiculous to think there ever would be any. You must think exactly like your manager and be able to read her mind. I was also told during one-on-ones who I could ask questions of and who was "terrible". Nothing like your manager putting down fellow employees and gossiping in your one on one! The tension in this office is unreal. I went to HR about my concerns and they did nothing and basically expected me to be quitting. You will never have a career here. Oh, and their system was designed in Spain and is the worst system I have EVER seen. The positive reviews were obviously written by HR or somebody who has worked there for 20+ years.

Pros

Ok time off. Micro managed and the Columbus Ohio office doesnt have a clue and is afraid to take leadership. micro manager. ,they do not value your insight for change. The company will go nowhere and they are happy with that. No chance for advancement. Management treats their employees like they are nothing. No incentive except for a paycheck.

Cons

Manager is obnoxious they lie they will talk about you in your face and behind it. I was in a training class of 11 and not even 6 months later more than 7 are gone. You sign up for a fulltime job but they pay 77.25 hrs every 2 weeks when it should be 80 hrs.. Although you work 80 hrs.
