Pros

The company offers competitive wage scales and the leadership direction is at least portrayed to be in the right direction.

Cons

The company states they are founded in the success of the employee's, which leads to the success of its customers and business. Unfortunately, either leadership is full of BS or is blind to reality. They will work you into the ground and then act like it's due to your efficiency, to the point you will question them yourself. I have been a homeowner's adjuster for 10+ years. My efficiencies could not be higher. As a Florida salaried field adjuster, I had to work 50 to 60+ hour weeks, including weekends just to feel like I hadn't hit the ocean floor and may be able to one day get above water and breathe again. I listed two years, consistently telling leadership of the shortcomings of the structure of their claim assignments and that the expectations on field adjusters we're enough to warrant the employees to handle the job put on the shoulders of one. Unfortunately, they never listened. They constantly asked how you could become more efficient, acting as if it had nothing to do with the company or leadership. This may blind some, but all the field adjusters spoke to one another and spoke the same sentiments as I. Which you will also find throughout these reviews. In my first year, I went from being the new guy on a team of 7, to being the last man standing. In the second year, new employees came and went, but I remained. I can't imagine making your employees miserable with no life balance which in return makes for a horrible customer experience, could be a good business structure. Everyone quits and is replaced with inexperienced, less expensive, new hires, who in return quit and the cycle continues. Do not take this soul sucking career path. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Disappointing and Demoralizing; Certain Functions Aren't Valued

Pros

Flexible hours help if you're not a 9-5 kind of person. Office location is convenient for commuting.

Cons

The culture is permeated with politics, passive aggressiveness, bullying, and resistance to change. Some people are held accountable and others aren't, which is demoralizing, and it's very apparent as to which functions in the company are valued and which are not (soft skill jobs). Slow promotions make it even harder to deal with the environment. Benefits are also not great - expensive to fund an HSA plus pay a still fairly sizable premium and then pay fully out of pocket because not a lot of doctors in MA want to take United. If you go to work just to collect a paycheck, you're fine, but if you want fulfillment in your work and to feel valued, it's a hit or miss depending on your department and appetite for playing politics.

Pros

Great pay, flexible scheduling, i.e. work from home for agents who perform well.

Cons

Poor lead sources from customers who do not represent the company's target audience, no work life balance, high stress due to high goals and obligation to pay company back for policies canceled within 6 months of issue.
