Liberty Mutual, like a lot of other insurers, struggles to retain new sales hires. However, veteran agents are now leaving the company with alarming regularity. Compensation plans are changed every year for the worse, and there is increased pressure to work and produce more while the target market for this company is continually shrinking. Additionally, the company pays virtually zero to agents for renewals, which means you always have to be producing brand-new business. Finally, Liberty Mutual seems to have no idea how to price its products except for those with perfect credit and zero claims history.
