Cons

The company cannot be trusted by employees after ALL with the 'system administrator' role for UNIX, Windows, ESX, DBA, etc. are scheduled to be eliminated and given severance packages. Liberty Mutual started by enrolling them in a Dev/Ops training course to transition them to a new title of Engineers, but after those employees finished a six-month course the company changed its mind and screwed all systems administrators, even some who have been with the company 26 - 32 years. A big letdown. Advice to those who might consider employment by Liberty Mutual: If you work at Liberty Mutual don't ever expect that you are secure, even if you've worked there for 32 years.

Leadership change signals dangers ahead

Pros

Competitive pay and time off.

Cons

Used to be "Liberty Nice," but leadership changes are beginning to signal a culture change. Everyone is focused on the bottom line and are losing sight of the integrity that made Liberty a great place to work. Expecting impossible results with less... Not adequately recognizing or rewarding the competent talent they do have -- turn over increasing.

Pros

Not very many pros. New hires in 2020/2021 job listings were advertised and contracted as salaried, full-time, WFH remote employees. During 2022 a return to office mandate was enforced for all employees throughout the company. Pay is mediocre for the position of Auto Adjuster II ranging from 40-50k a year, but you will be exchanging not only 40 hours a week for that pay, but your entire life including off days. Constantly pressured ("highly encouraged") to come in to the office, meet up at restaurants with management and co-workers on Friday evenings.

Cons

If you work hard, meet all your KPI's, manage your claims promptly and stay on top of everything, you will be rewarded with bonuses and decent pay. What you will not have, is a work life balance. The harder you work the more the system punishes you and drowns you in more work. Most of the team doesn't meet KPI's, quite far below it. They hold there jobs while doing half the work you do as a top performer, while your manager makes you feel like you aren't doing enough even if you're at the top of your team.
