Pros

decent pay, paid vacation, sick time etc..

Cons

After 20 + years of employment, Liberty terminated a large number of employees for no reason. They have chosen to go a path of call centers and poor online customer service. They are dishonest, arrogant and truly vile. I have observed them fabricating things against employees they did not like. Stay away from this company!!!

Pros

Decent benefits, above-market salaries, opportunities for training, great co-workers, plenty of room for advancement, nice office, good location. Close to Boston home office.

Cons

They will promise you the world during your interview, especially with “Pay for Performance,” which is basically a scam. Don’t think for one second that handling claims well is enough. In fact, it’s not important. You are expected to buy into the “Liberty Way” and be an outspoken voice in the office. If not, you will never advance. In order to keep up with the workload, you need to work at least 50 hours per week. The caseloads are outrageously high, turnover is out of control, and the file reviews are borderline HR violations. This position presents as a good opportunity for a recent college graduate who wants to do something other than claims via an internal transfer after a year. There are other positions within the company that are a good opportunity; this is not one of them.
