Abysmal senior management support; Covance way or the highway.

Good benefits to start, 401k match, nice cafeteria on site in main office, option to work remotely as needed or full time depending on your role.

Cons

Poor leadership from senior management. Innovation is squashed and you're told to "do it the Covance way." Constructive feedback regarding better training methodology met with blank stares. Workload is unrealistic and projects are often inadequately funded; you can't succeed when your initial budget is 70% of what is needed. Three line managers in less than 1 year. Technology implementation is atrocious. Constant network and accessibility issues.

Low salaries, small increases, weak management, promotes by seniority and not abilities, no recognition for good performance, systems crash often

Very exciting industry. Client interaction is always very postivie. We are solving health problems world wide. It is very rewarding.

Cons

Some decisions made by our clients are out of our control. Poor study results may force a customer to change it's mind on pursuing a drug in development and that affects our forecast for the future as well.
