Pros

Decent first job. Pretty easy work. Decent pay.

Cons

I've heard there isn't a lot of room to move up, and you should stay a couple years and move on. Or if you want to create a career with clinical labs, then you should stay.

Pros

Very easy to get started, training is optimal for anyone with a high school education. Management was eager to assign difficult projects to eager employees. Ideas for optimization were met by management with eager ears.

Cons

No real career advancement available if you start too low in the company, mainly blue collar work. Even if you have a degree and have many accomplishments, you will be looked over. Management was horrible at best. No real supervision or management was available over the course of my career. In a performance based department this is not ideal, and many hours were wasted in overtime.

Pros

The employee were like family. . The benefits were ok.

Cons

Upper management sucked but the employees were good people. Labcorp being self insured was a joke. For a medical Facility we had the worst insurance of anyone I knew and the cost was ridiculously high. The pay was JUST good enough to keep you from going some where else and having to start at the bottom of the totem pole. Recognition? don't make me laugh you only got that if you had your head shoved up so far that you couldn't see daylight. If you didn't think in the same realm as upper management you were considered a misfit and bound to lose your job unless you conformed.
