Pros

There are some good benefits such as fitness reimbursement, clinical lab testing (all lab test are paid for by LC) that go beyond the regular healthcare benefits. There are opportunities for promotions, though it does get trickier the higher up you try to go in a role.

Cons

It's difficult to get promoted to the Sr. IHCRA role if you don't want to travel as a CRA at some point in time. The criteria for a promotion from a 2 to a Sr. is very vague and only previous traveling CRAs seem to get those roles. Also the pay for the IHCRA role is a lower range compared to other CROs.

Most people are good to work with.

Cons

Definitely underpaid for what manager's expectations are of my workload. Due to company profits, no one received merit raises this year and I was not given accurate information when I was promoted, so have been stuck at a very low wage for over a year. Very frustrating! And now, there is a split of the clinical team and salary is unlikely to change, despite an "exceeds expectations" status on my review for last 2 years.
