Not the 'people first' culture it claims to be

Pros

Some talented colleagues and well-known clients. The junior and mid-level teams genuinely care about the work and each other.

Cons

Leadership often talks about values such as 'lead with love,' 'listen first,' and 'speak up,' but in my experience these weren’t consistently reflected in how people were treated. Transparency and communication frequently felt limited, and internal processes sometimes came across as reactive or performative rather than genuinely supportive. My experience returning from maternity leave highlighted a lack of structure and empathy around flexibility and reintegration. Flexibility seemed to come at the expense of progression or recognition, which felt disheartening in a company that publicly champions women and inclusivity. Decisions often appeared to be made at a senior level without much visibility of their impact on the people doing the work.

Outdated culture, weak leadership, and Omnicom’s shadow

Pros

- A few individuals genuinely try to improve the culture. - Exposure to some well-known clients (though projects themselves may not be inspiring).

Cons

- Omnicom drains the agency of energy and authenticity, it’s soul-sucking and bureaucratic. - Leadership is ego-driven. Senior titles often believe their way is the only way, and collaboration suffers. - The company still clings to work and reputation from decades ago - HR is ineffective and at times unresponsive. Their support is almost non-existent when issues arise. The worst I’ve ever experienced at a company. - Client work is generally uninspiring. - Company culture is outdated. “Culture” is equated with a Thursday drinks trolley rather than building meaningful connections or inclusivity. - Pay freezes have lasted over two years with no transparency - Office policy feels performative: mandatory 3 days in-office, but staff were initially scheduled randomly across days so it was clear this was just to support the canteen - not to foster actual teamwork. - Overall lack of care for employees other than the ones at the top.
