Pros

Impressive ethics and principles, a CEO staff genuinely believe in and who listens, excellent work life balance with a good corporate mission.

Cons

Far too many senior posts within IT and Group Finance occupied by contractors rather than permanent employees.

Thanks for your review and for your comments around work life balance and our purpose. To your point around contractors - some of our colleagues are interim due to the nature of work that they do; some projects require work for a fixed amount of time, but not forever. Using contractors to support our full-time workforce is one way to address this and it works well for the organisation, and for the people carrying out the interim roles too. However, it is important that when people are working in these roles that they feel part of the team – and there’s a role for everyone to play in that. Regards, Kalbir Heer

Thanks for taking the time out to write a review about your time at Ingeus. I’m pleased to hear that you valued the pay and benefits package and your colleagues. Others agree with you. In our most recent employee survey questions asked in the category of ‘My Team’ came out top. I’m sorry to read your concerns about support and performance. Our managers are credited for genuinely caring about team members’ wellbeing (by their colleagues) and as an organisation with ‘care and respect’ as a core value, it’s disappointing to hear that you didn’t feel supported. With regards to performance, we pride ourselves on delivering quality services that achieve fantastic results for our customers and for the people on our programmes. For us, great results mean that more people’s lives have been positively impacted by our services. The commissioners who procure our teams’ expertise set objectives as part of their contracts with us. At Ingeus we believe that every member of the team plays an important part in helping to deliver against these objectives and, so, certain colleagues, in certain roles, work towards achievable targets. We have developed compensation packages to reflect this. Thanks again for your review, Kind regards, Barry Fletcher

Pros

- Great team of colleagues that were highly supportive - Bonuses - Work based training is of a high standard and you will learn a great deal if you are new to welfare to work

Cons

- Unrealistic performance targets and a culture of blame - Less of a focus on supporting the clients that are most vulnerable over the years, which is a shame (as this was once one of the greatest things about the company) - Little progression for front line staff
