      Pros

      I've worked at Ingeus for the best part of a decade on numerous contracts for various commissioners. I'm really proud to work for an organisation that puts people first. Every contract I have worked on has been to help people and society - whether in the Employment field, the Skills and Training field or for Youth Services. I'm very proud to work for an organisation where the values align with the corporate objectives of helping others and improving society.

      Cons

      To be successful at keeping and procuring new contracts we need to deliver results - and as such Ingeus is a target driven workplace. I do not personally see this as a con, but I think it's important to mention as I've noticed many reviews on here reference the targeted nature of the organisation. The truth is that if the organisation was not targeted and we did not deliver/exceed our commisioners expectations then we would not maintain or win new contracts.

      Youth Services Division - Ingeus

      Pros

      I have been working at Ingeus for over 3 years now and can honestly say it’s one of the best organisations I have worked for. They are supportive of the staff and everyone has a shared goal in supporting young people with making transformational changes to their lives. The Director (Gary Buxton) sets a tone of a high performing culture but grateful for the hard work of everyone in the division.

      Cons

      Don't have any negatives, as I feel any feedback that is share with management (via our quartley pulse survey) is taken on board and changes are made. This is then shared with us via a 'you said, we did' email from our Director.

      Pros

      Engineer level the and mid level management the team is superb and have improved the environment a lot in a short space of time.

      Cons

      Senior management is poor, lacks concise, clear direction. No chartered or planned pathways for career progression. Contractor heavy at senior level with not the right experience or skill set.

I would really encourage you to meet with your line manager to look into the wide variety of development opportunities available to employees. Last year we awarded 22 scholarships for people to undertake work-related qualifications and 73 employees completed personal development courses following the 2017 personal development review process. Furthermore, all colleagues have access to a suite of over 100 online personal and professional development resources through our online learning platform, iCareer. It would be good to hear more about your thoughts around the communication of a clear vision and direction. We’ve been working hard this year to do more to talk about our strategy and future plans and I’d really like to get your thoughts about what more we could do.
